Yard Sale Help Needed!

Hello MPC Members,

I hope you are all doing well. I miss seeing all of you on a regular basis. I am writing to you on behalf of the Presbyterian Women and the rummage sale committee. Once again due to the Covid pandemic, we are not going to be able to hold our indoor October rummage sale. But we have great news!  We are going to hold an outdoor yard sale on Saturday, September 11, in conjunction with Saint Joe’s Catholic church community yard sale and Wesley United Methodist’s sale. Patrons will have a three-for-one deal to shop that Saturday morning. With that being said, we are looking to poll the congregation and find out how many of you would be interested in participating. We need your help! We would ask that if you are available and willing and able to show up on Saturday morning with your car full at 7:00am and back into a space and put your treasures out on the provided tables. We would then ask you to either price your items or let offers be given and then donate your proceeds to MPW so that we can continue to serve and give to our missions. If for some reason you would not be able to man your table from 8am to 12, we will have youth and extra volunteers available, but we are strongly encouraging you to stay if you’re able and sell your own treasures to benefit the MPC/Presbyterian Women's ongoing missions. We also plan to take all leftover treasures via the church van to Community Aid after the sale, which will be planned for in advance.

In sending this email, our hope is to hear from you with a reply that you’re thinking this is a fantastic way to get rid of all the cast-offs that you have been holding onto for the past two years. Remember that one man's trash is another one's treasure! Replies and Questions can be directed to Jessica Antenucci at antenucci1@verizon.net and via phone/text to 717-602-6198.

We also plan to have a bake sale as well as hotdog, chips and drinks available for purchase. And we are hoping that the food portion can be worked by the youth of the church.
Thank you graciously for your prayerful consideration of this sale & request.

Warmly,
Jessica Antenucci
