Day 4...hello! We began this morning in Holt Street Baptist Church, the epicenter of the Civil Rights Movement in Montgomery, Alabama. It was here that the movement’s leaders decided to boycott Montgomery public transportation following the arrest of Mrs. Rosa Park. We next travelled to Selma where we met with Ms. JoAnne Bland, who marched with her sister alongside many of other young people in the movement. She was arrested over 13 times by the time she was only 11 years old. Together, we crossed the Edmund Pettus bridge together, walking in the footsteps of those who marched for voting rights and symbolically promising to continue the march to freedom. - Cathay and Pastor Emily #WeAreMPC #morepeoplecaring
